I would like to make a statement defending the Central Monitoring System and PRISM. "People !! The sole purpose of these systems and similar many other ones is to monitor and analyse the data, of all sorts. The Governments are not at all interested in your personal data. A 'Nation' does not care and is not at all interested in your BF/GF , what porn site do you access, what fast food do you order, what clothes do you buy online, what trivial mails you exchange or for that matter any other information which you perceive personal and whose revelation will disturb your privacy."
"The Nation as a whole is so superior to you and me that the private (mostly uncritical) data does not make any difference to it; Also we must cooperate with the Government and let them monitor our data for the greater good."
"The logic behind my position is that if you are not doing any illegal and unlawful act then there should be absolutely no fear of being monitored and in Democracies such as The India and The USA, we all people have right to speech and expression which in proper way is always welcome and fruitful"
"I feel very dejected when people cry about privacy and related rights being violated the reason being my feeling that A Nation (all people together) is what we should be concerned as whole and not your or my stupid secrets."
"The whole idea of Patriotism is about being selfless and devoted towards Nation by keeping aside your Religion, Party, Region, Family, SELF, etc, but sadly people have become extremely self centered and that is why we often forget that programs like PRISM and CMS aid in averting higher proportion of threats than those actually take place, thanks to the Intelligence Community and Defense Forces."
"One more thing i would point out is that i get to see posts of Shivaji Maharaj, Dr. Ambedkar, Mahatma Gandhi, various Religious posts, Political posts,etc on FB but the Indian Patriotism only awakens and we remember (only literally) our nation (India) only during 15th August and 26th January. My question is that, is Law and Morals of a Nation, Legacy of our Motherland more important than you, me or any single individual ? We only remember that we are Indians (for name sake) and most of us continue to disrespect the laws, right from traffic laws to bribing people to get work done. Well 99.99% people dont even know that halting on or after the white band on traffic signal itself is a violation of law, it is just a basic example, and many such insults we do are nothing but insults of our Nation indeed. At that time no one gives a damn about Nation and Patriotism. "
"There is a strong need to instill what true Patriotism is else our nation will continue to deteriorate. We really need to change our wrong definitions we have harboured and nurtured. We really need to understand Great Good and Truth."
To those wondering why i am posting this: This is what my reaction was when i saw The US Congressional Hearing of Appropriations Committee on Cyber-security and Government Surveillance, where few Public Representatives were whining over same thing i have discussed above.
